Singapore is making a return to the World Juniors Squash Championships after a 14 year absence. The last time Singapore participated was in 2004 held in Islamabad, Pakistan. This year the Championships will be held in Chennai, India starting on the 18th of July 2018. The last time Singapore participated was in 2004 held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Singapore will be represented by Aaron Liang, Matthew Wong, Kieren Tan and Leonard Lee. The team will be competing in both the Individual and Team events. Sneha Sivakumar is also travelling and will be participating in the Individual event only.
The Individual event is held annually while the team is held every 2 years with the Junior Men’s Team on even years while the Junior Women’s Team on odd years.
It will be an incredible experience for the players as they will be able to watch players of similar age playing at the highest levels and also mingle with them on a daily basis. The lessons that can be taken back will be invaluable to assist their development.
