Singapore Squash will be doing its part for the World Squash Day (13th October) this year by having a fund raising activity. Our event has further been boosted by the support of Nick Matthew, England’s former world number one and world champion, who recorded this for us:
Over the recent months, we have been working with an organisation called GLYPH to introduce our sport to the kids and youths from challenging communities through our Mini Squash programme. Our sessions with the kids have shown that the kids have enjoyed themselves and benefitted from the physical workout. Don’t take our word for it. Have a look yourself.
However, these things do come at a cost and we thought that the World Squash Day would serve as the perfect platform for us to raise some funds. One of the main objectives of the World Squash Day is to introduce and gain new players into our sport, which is what we will use the funds for – funding individuals for the Mini Squash programme.
We strongly believe that everyone deserves a balanced lifestyle and for some of these children, squash could be the answer.
Come 10-14 October 2018, over the duration of the SGSquash Circuit #5, we have designed something that will test your shot accuracy.
For only $15, you’ll have an opportunity to win a brand new HEAD racket from the latest collection. We’ll give you 20 balls and all you need to do is get 3 in a row (or a cumulative 13) into the boxes and the racket is all yours. We want everyone to be a winner, so even a single ball in will win you a prize.
The best part is, you may be sponsoring one of our next squash prodigies, as all excess of proceeds will go directly to the kids squash lessons.
HEAD is also offering a 50% discount off the retail price on its HEAD Speed Slim Body series rackets to anyone in exchange for a usable old squash racket donated to the Singapore Squash mini squash programme. A further $10 will also be donated to this cause for every racket sold during the event.
We have also prepared an exclusive and limited run of the World Squash Day T-shirts to commemorate this year’s events. They are available for purchase for $25 during the SGSquash Circuit #5, or you can book yours now (email to: firstname.lastname@example.org) to ensure you do not miss out on it. Sizes: XXXXS – XXXL. Collection/Payment can be made on site during the SGSquash Circuit #5 (10 – 14 October). Weekday evenings between 6pm – 10pm. Weekends between 10am – 2pm.
Singapore Squash seeks your kind support to make this event a success. Please share this with your family, friends and club members.
Additionally, we would also love to know if you have something planned in conjunction with the World Squash Day. If you don’t, it’s still not too late to plan one. Come speak to us if you’d like some ideas.
Help yourselves with the images above for print and have it up in your club. You may approach us if you would like a copy of the World Squash Day logo.
This World Squash Day effort is sponsored by HEAD and supported by Ever Triumph Resources Pte Ltd.
